Arte Consultores will present various artists for its third consectutive year at Arteamericas 2012. This Latin American art fair will be celebrating its 10th year and will be showing excellent artistic works. For more information please click here.
The gallery will be exhibiting the works of seven Colombian artists with various career paths, expressions and techniques. Pedro Ruiz, Jose Ismael Rivera, Sair García, Carolina Convers, Max Steven Grossman, Leonardo Pineda and Juan Guillermo Escobar will present both paintings and photography. WORK BY MAX STEVEN GROSSMAN TO BE OFFICIAL IMAGE OF CARTAGENA'S INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
During the festival his works will also be shown at Cartagena's Museum of Modern Art.
A piece from his series "Waves" will be the official image of the 52nd Cartagena de Indias International Film Festival. This image captures a singular wave, yet in one glance the entire development of the wave is understood: beginning with full force, rising to its crest, the powerful descent moving anything in its path, and finally the wave reaching its break point.
In the words of the director of the festival, Monika Wagemberg, "The series of waves by Max-Steven Grossman reminds us that film, in its essence, is a fixed image in movement. Further, the tension found in each of these notably aesthetic images suggest movement, such as that which we seek in film. The reference is cinematographic, not exclusively geographic."
